Don't know the answer to your question but it's very similar to the old top 40 rock and roll radio website www.reelradio.com which sports tons of old radio broadcasts ( though it isn't free ).

Why is it that airchecks in such markets such as Richmond ( Virginia ), Raleigh ( North Carolina ) and Indianapolis are copyrighted but airchecks in such markets like Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Phoenix are NOT.

I myself would love to know the answer to these two questions.

Maybe I can help with the OTR portion. Generally, OTR shows wherever they are aired are free and can be download, burned and distributed to anyone or anybody anywhere. They are notable exceptions to this rule. For instance, the programs of The Shadow and the Lone ranger because they are part of the estates of the families who orginally created them. Does that help some?
